I’m afraid my best friends fiance has a serious drinking.problem. after staying with her for a week, I saw how much her fiance drank. As soon as he walks into the house,he has a 6 pack and opens a beer-sometimes before he even enters the house he has already drank one.

Some nights he might open a beer and pass out on the couch and not finish it,but other nights he might drink a whole 6 pack plus a bottle of wine. For instance, on his day off he started drinking at 4 and had 3 beers, went to dinner at 6 and he had a glass of wine, on the way home he picked up a bottle of wine and drank the bottle before passing out on the couch. He doesn’t drink anything when he gets home but alcohol be it one beer or a whole bottle and some- but never water, tea or anything.

He has gotten a DUI before a couple of years ago and recently got into a bad accident and totalled his vehicle- was charged with a PI.

He drinks every night and sometimes in his sleep becomes violent with her. He says he doesn’t remember it bit to make her feel better he has sworn off liquor. But he has even broke that promise and she OS constantly on him about his alcohol consumption.

What is sad is they have a baby and she is amazing.

Am I exaggerating his drinking? What should I do to help her? What should she do?
